NYCOA’s low melting nylons grades are used in applications such as hot-melt adhesives and color concentrate carriers. The melting point for NYCOA’s low-melt point grades ranges from 100°C to 160°C and the melt viscosity can be tailored to meet customer performance specifications.

As thermoplastic adhesives, these NYCOA resins offer:

  • full recyclability

  • a low yellowing index

  • excellent transparency

  • excellent dry cleaning resistance

  • strong chemical and heat resistance

  • excellent green strength

  • improved UV resistance.

When used as hot-melt adhesives, NYCOA’s low melting nylons are VOC-free, with 100% adhesive content, and can be processed as a single-component system.

They can be converted via a range of processes including melt print, extrusion (film, web, and filament), overmolding, solvent systems, and powder.

They are used in applications requiring a solution to complex bonding problem; such as automotive headliners, technical textiles, floor coverings, upholstery, and specialty apparel.
